Attending Goa International Travel Mart-GITM 2019

I will be in Goa this week, attending Goa International Travel Mart in Dona Paula. I am invited as one of the 35 selected Indian journalists and bloggers for this.

Couple of months ago came to know about Goa International Tourism Mart planned for October 2019 in Goa. They had a hosted media program in which about 35 Indian and 25 international blogger and media delegates would get invited to the event with major expenses like flight, hotel etc covered.

I was free on those dates and registered. About a month later I got an automated email indicating I am selected but I need to pay Rs 5500 - of which 5000 is refundable, 500 is not. This was a fully automated mail- I replied with some queries I had but no one replied. So I didn't make any payment and forgot about it. Eventually someone called, clarified my doubts and I could also independently verify that event is genuine and probably worth visiting. So I decided to attend and finished formalities.

Got my tickets, agenda and other details. Looks like we will have some site-seeing planned besides attending the event and press meets.

I have attended Arabian Travel Mart in Dubai last year, Times Travel Show in Mumbai this year, where I also gave a talk and many such shows, press meets and exhibitions over time so I am guessing GITM will be a similar experience- exhibitors, speaking sessions and other updates related to the travel industry. Now that I will be there, I will bring you all the updates during the event on my social media channels and detailed updates later through blog posts. Also looking forward to catch up with fellow bloggers who will be attending.
