WOW Air will be back next month, no India plans

2020 July update: This topic is irrelevant now. 

WOW Air, Iceland based low cost long haul operator that shut shop early 2019, is said to be back.

I am alerted to this news by this video from DJ's Aviation, a popular youtube channel.

Key points about WOW Air relaunch:

• WOW Air will be headquartered in Washington D C with an office in Iceland
• Airline will not attempt rapid growth, will target to operate around 10 airplanes in the initial days
• Number of destinations served will also be very few, India very unlikely
• Details of aircraft type, fare structure, destinations etc are not known yet.

WOW Air had lowest fares between India and Europe/America- like 10000-13500 INR one way across their network- such as New Delhi-Los Angeles etc. I had booked 1 trip to Canada and another to Los Angeles on WOW air for early 2019, both flights were subsequently cancelled [details] and I got my refund. Airline CEO had said inducting widebody aircrafts was biggest mistake as they had lots of costs not viable on a low cost model. WOW Air initially discontinued several long haul destinations but few weeks later, entire airline collapsed overnight, leaving lots of people in distress.

The new innings will be interesting to watch. All the best to them anyways. No updates on WOW Air's official website yet as of now.
