Desert Sundowner experience in Bikaner with Narendra Bhawan
Sundowner is one of the several experiences offered by Narendra Bhawan, Bikaner to its guests. Others are Haveli tours, temple/fort visits etc. Sundowner is essentially spending the evening in the desert, usually next to a talab (lake/pond) while some light food and drink is served along with a musician and campfire for company. If you had a hectic day exploring forts, temples and other attractions in Bikaner, relaxing during sunset next to a waterbody with soothing music is highly recommended.
I don't have too much text to explain the sundowner experience. I leave you with various photos I clicked during our sunset evening and some related info.
Above: Watching sunset and photographing them is fun
Below: The vehicles that ferry us... I miss the fortuner.
A railway track passes nearby and occasionally you can see trains passing through- that is a nice experience.
Above; Glasses
Below: Liquids that went into them. Unfortunately for me only sprite and juices!
Below: The luxury in the middle of the desert...
Some trick photography I tried in the darkness- using the lamps as source of light, increasing exposure duration and moving the camera...
Check some more of such pics from Suryagarh trip- An evening near Joshida Talab
And the musician who entertained us all through the evening
It was an evening well spent. The Narendra Bhawan team reaches well ahead of us to setup the facility. We spent few good hours there talking and relaxing over the drinks and fire, before heading back to Narendra Bhawan for proper dinner.

Nice evening frames.
ReplyDeletei quite like that people take time to celebrate the sunset. A sunrise/sunset is such a glorious event, and they seem to have done it well in stye. Like the cabana set up! What exactly is Narendra Bhawan Srinidhi?
