Melbourne Bolte Bridge and Dockyards
This post shares two photos of Bolte Bridge, Melbourne. These are clicked from the dockyard I am told this bridge is best viewed from the top of Etihad stadium.
The two towers you see in the middle of the bridge do not serve any structural purpose- they are not physically connected to the bridge and do not provide any support. Reportedly they were added for beautifying the bridge which would otherwise have looked plain and simple. This 17 year old bridge is named after Sir Henry Bolte, former premier of Victoria.Unfortunately only motored vehicles can go on the 6 lane bridge. Pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed.
Melbourne Star observation wheel is closeby. I couldn't locate the Bolte Bride from Eureka Skydeck
