Hyde park Sydney and Jaane Kyon spot!

Hyde park Sydney is a pretty simple park at the heart of town- business district on one side and St Mary’s church on the other.




This otherwise Just Another park gained popularity among Indian tourists after it was featured in the blockbuster movie, Dil Chahta Hai. The Song- Jane Kyon log pyar karte hain was picturized here partly (Watch the video of the song below, you can see most of Sydney in that).

This post shares some pictures of the park that I clicked. Also tried spotting the exact bench on which Preity Zinta and Amir Khan sat during the song. As I tried zeroing in on the bench, I couldn’t locate it in first look- later recognized that background tree has grown an additional branch in last 15 years, so exact match is not possible. Waited for some time for people sitting on this bench to vacate it, so that I could get a clear pic.  Not a big movie fan, still this felt sort of nostalgic.
