Amazing photos :) loved photo of Mahindra XUV 500 at Murudeshwar temple. I love red colored XUV 500.
ReplyDeleteThanks. While renting, no one gives a colour choice :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome Post :) I am also planning to rent it from Carzonrent for the first time, i have used zoomcar many times (infact to Ladakh:)).. Which location did you pick this car from?
ReplyDeleteplease let me know the cost and pricing from carzonrent, kms free etc.
ReplyDeleteGoutham: So you're the one who took Scorpio all the way to Ladakh! great
ReplyDeleteI picked xuv500 from ulsoor road
Even Zoom has added XUV500 W6 now, Rs 4000 a day
Dalu:
I paid Rs 3100 per day in rent all inclusive + fuel extra, no limit on kms
Zoom has xuv500 w8 for Rs 4000 a day, but comes with 225kms worth fuel, beyond which Rs 15 per km is charged
hi Shrinidhi i would like to know how is carzonrent different from Zoom. Since i am planning to hire a POLO from CARZONRENT for daily rental for four days so thought of getting some clarifications from an expert like you.
ReplyDelete1).I would like to know what makes CARZONRENT different from ZOOM.
2). are there any speed regulations in CARZONRENT like zoom
3). Are we required to pay state entry tax for CARZONRENT vehicles.
Hi Shrinidhi,
ReplyDeleteNice review out there. Just wanted to check what if I am taking the car out of station, say Andhra Pradesh, what would be the terms for the outstation taxes.
Can you please through some light on this?
Thanks,
Sunay
Hi Shrinidhi,
ReplyDeleteNice pics out there of the XUV. Can you please share some details on the experience you had with carzonrent and the service provided by them.
Also on the security deposit was it refunded to you immediately?
Since I am planning to hire car this friday, I would need your help on the same.
Thanks,
Sunay
Rajbharath,
ReplyDeletebest wishes for your drive. Answers to your questions below
1).I would like to know what makes CARZONRENT different from ZOOM.
Shrinidhi: Carzonrent doesn't charge extra for kms, and no free kms involved. You pay for fuel. This works out if you're doing 300-400kms a day. Zoom charges little more but gives 225kms worth fuel. So if you're driving less than 200kms per day, zoom will work out cheaper. Zoom has much simple process compared to carzonrent, has more location options and no credit card amount blocking involved in zoom.
2). are there any speed regulations in CARZONRENT like zoom
Shrinidhi: Nothing official, but cars could be electronically limited to say 150 kmph or so. (I didn't notice any restriction on Ertiga but XUV500 seemed to max out at 150kmph
3). Are we required to pay state entry tax for CARZONRENT vehicles
Shrinidhi: Yes
Sunay,
ReplyDeleteCarzonrent experience can be read here http://www.enidhi.net/2014/03/carzonrent-chennai-self-drive-rental.html
Refund takes few days to weeks. if you call and log a complaint, they will do it little faster
Enjoy your ride
AP permit fee is about Rs 300 for 5 seater cars, more for 7 seaters
ReplyDeleteAmount differs based on duration etc
Zoom refunds AP permit fee, Carzonrent doesn't
