Darter Bird Photography at Kabini

When Arun Bhat had told me that he has launched a company called Darter Photography, I had no clue what Darter meant.

Recently during a boat safari at Kabini, our guide pointed to a bird and said it is called Darter and it flashed me why Arun would have chosen that name.

Anyways, managed to get some close photos of the Darter bird, which looks particularly attractive due to its snake like neck, which it manages to bend and twist just as like a snake.

A darter inside water, with its neck out

  1. Hi!
My name is Robert Hennessy and I’m an outsourced software developer and traveler.I found your website while searching for knowledgeable people sharing traveling experience in social media and blogs to spread the idea of a new traveling service, and offer them a chance to be one of a limited group of betatesters.
I’m launching a travel start-up where people could share their travel experience in a totally new “augmented reality” way – mobile audio guides – and even earn money for their contributions! There’s no membership fee, nothing dark or spammy; we, just want to collect feedback from real travelers. :)
For us at Guidestock, an audio guide is a tour that consists of GPS path tracking combined with photos and audio stories which help bring city sites, monuments and landmarks to life.
If you are interested, please reply and I’ll send you further details.
Thank you and have a nice day!
