Red Ibis bird at Berlin Zoo (Scarlet Ibis)
We don't get to see Red Ibis (also known as Scarlet Ibis) so often. I spotted few in the German Capital's Berlin Zoological garden.
Above: A bunch of Scarlet Ibis, relaxing on a tree
Scarlet Ibis is a protected bird. In structure, they're very similar to white coloured Ibis bird we spot in India, but their not so common red colour makes them centre of attraction.
Berlin zoo has about a dozen Red Ibis birds, in a large enclosure. Tourists can go inside and take a closer look. (Similar to the facility in karanji kere, Mysore, where one can go inside the cage and take closer look at peacocks)
